DG Yola is one of those artists that I've been waiting to hear a follow-up from. A lot of rappers who have a tight single fall off the map. Remember Coo Coo Cal? Exactly. So I was excited when I heard Yola on this track:
DJ Burn One, who keeps shit fresh over at BLVD ST, posted his mixtape, "Still Standing", a couple weeks ago. I finally got around to listening to it and it's solid. Yola seems to have a decent ear for beats and he spits with a lot of charisma and conviction. Plus it doesn't hurt that he's from the A. Here's the first track for you to sample:
